Dr. Peter Rastrelli received his doctoral degree in Educational Psychology-School Psychology Emphasis from National-Louis University. His research emphasis at National-Louis included both Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders and conflict resolution programs. He earned a BA in psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Rastrelli currently works on Chicago’s north shore as a certified school psychologist. His involvement at PRS first began with a vision that later developed into the Rastrelli Education Center, now a cornerstone of PRS.
At PRS, Dr. Rastrelli is involved with assessment, educational product development, and consultation. Dr. Rastrelli specializes in the diagnosis of learning, emotional, and neurobehavioral disorders as well as the development of corresponding educational plans. He works with young children encountering their first educational experience as well as adolescents and young adults preparing for life after high school and college.
Dr. Rastrelli emphasizes his convictions that helping a child must go well beyond a battery of formalized assessments. He encourages parents and students to keep in touch with him after the evaluation process itself has ended. In his free time, Dr. Rastrelli enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, coaching baseball, and having “stable dinners” in the backyard on weekends.
